G.R. White Trust, which supports nonprofit organizations in the state of Texas, with areas of interest including community development, social services, the environment, and Christian agencies. Types of support include programmatic, equipment, general operating and building. With an application deadline of September 1, interested applicants should submit a written request tht includes the name and purpose of the affiliate, a list of the affiliate’s board of directors, the amount of the request and the purpose of the request. Penn National Gaming Foundation grants generally fall in the following categories related to the work of Habitat affiliates: Community Development: Projects and programs related to community infrastructure improvements, public safety, economic development, housing, historic preservations, citizen involvement, civic leadership training, and other general community activities; Human Services: Programs which address the needs of children and youth, senior citizens and disadvantages populations, especially in times of natural or man made disaster. Applicants must be physically located in the Houston region. Applications are due by on January 1, April 1, July 1 and October 1.
