Type of Common Disasters
Almost any disaster imaginable is a disaster that can strike in Texas. This includes fire, tornadoes, hurricanes, blizzards, hail, flood and even earthquakes! This module looks at fire and hurricanes.

Insurance and Financial Preparedness
This module outlines the importance for proper insurance coverage and thinking through financial preparedness, including emergency funds, for your household.

Disaster Preparedness Final Thoughts Thank you for completing the Disaster Preparedness Workshop for homeowners. Before downloading your certificate, please fill out THIS SURVEY.  To download your Certificate of Completion, click “Complete Lesson” on the top right hand side of the screen of this page before continuing on. Once each module is completed (meaning there is a green check mark by each lesson on the left hand side of your screen), return to the course homepage. Now, you should see a gray button on the ride side of the screen that says “Complete Course.” When you move your arrow over that button, it should turn blue. Click that button. It was a good reminder of things we need to do but also just plan for something that would not normally happen in this part of the country but will all that has happened over the last couple of years with weather it is a REALLY GOOD TO KNOW.
