Support Habitat across Texas
Habitat Texas assists Texas Habitat for Humanity affiliates in increasing production of affordable housing, by
- Advocating for affordable housing in Texas;
- Developing sources of funds, in-kind donations, services and other resources, and distributes these equitably to affiliates;
- Providing technical assistance and training to increase the effectiveness and sustainability of Texas Habitats;
- Facilitating networking and sharing of expertise, information, technical assistance, and other resources with and among Texas affiliates.
Volunteer on the Local Level
Texas has 83 affiliates and 43 ReStores® in communities across the state, providing opportunities to get involved on local projects. Individuals, churches, student groups and civic groups from all backgrounds take part in construction projects on weekends or to serve on boards, committees, and as volunteers in ReStores.
Habitat isn’t just about swinging a hammer though! There are lots of opportunities from serving on committees, feeding volunteers, event planning, financial management and more.
Habitat welcomes volunteers from all faiths, or no faith, who actively embrace Habitat’s goal of eliminating poverty housing from the world.

Donate to your local ReStore
Are you remodeling or demolishing a property?
Then, ReUse, ReCycle, ReStore
You can help your local Habitat by donating and shopping at your local ReStore. ReStores accept and then re-sell new and reusable home improvement building materials, antiques, electronics and household items at discount prices to the general public. All revenues from sales directly offset Habitat’s administrative costs and help us in our work to eliminate substandard housing and create homeownership across Texas.
Call your local ReStore to learn about what it accepts, store hours, pick-up and more.
Your donation makes a difference!
