Lone Star Summit Habitat Texas’ annual three-day conference is held each August to engage Habitat leaders: including homeowners, volunteers, staff, and board members. The mission of the Lone Star Summit is to promote, communicate and amplify the affect of Habitat leaders in the communities they serve. The Summit does this through intermediate and advanced level training so that all participants will have an opportunity to learn and share best practices with many fresh topics.
Leader Retreat Habitat Texas’ three-day annual retreat held for board chairs and executive directors held in the beginning of each year. This retreat offers a spiritual time to revamp and come together as a Habitat family. There is ample time to network with each other as we embark on a new year of service. Past retreats have included training on crucial conversations, succession planning, and Myers-Briggs Type Indicator® (MBTI®) assessment to inform team leading.
Regional Leadership Council Meetings Habitat Texas’ Executive Director, Amy Ledbetter Parham, organizes quarterly Regional Leadership Council Meetings, for leaders to discuss current challenges and successes with other executive directors in their area.
Strategic Planning Sessions Habitat Texas’ Executive Director, Amy Ledbetter Parham, leads personalized strategic planning sessions with an affiliate’s board and/or staff. The strategic planning session focuses on best practices and outlining achievable 1-5 year goals.
